Since the first Playstation console, influential characters pop up in most games. These characters that we come to know and love are also Playstation Heroes. This is the Playstation Buzz Top 5 Playstation Heroes. These are the heroes who are featured on on Playstation and fight the evil of their own world.
5. Ratchet (and Clank) From the Ratchet & Clank Franchise
To kick off the list, we have Ratchet. Who could forgot about the furry little Lombax who has appeared in 8+ titles. Ratchet, and his robot companion Clank, first appeared on November 4, 2002 in Ratchet & Clank. After that, there was a new game to come every year with the exception of 2010. There will be a game, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.

Nathan Drake is the main, and playable, character from Uncharted and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Nathan is the funny, lovable, and unpredictable treasure hunter. He is also not afraid to crack jokes in the face of danger or death. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves got game of the year at the VGA of 2009. Obviously Nathan is doing something right.

3. Sackboy From LittleBigPlanet
Sackboys appeared in the first LittleBigPlanet. He left everyone with the impression that he is this cute plushy that is harmless. However, we see in LittleBigPlanet, Sackboy can do a lot other than win the hearts of 50% of the Playstation crowd. Sackboy is one of those characters that you can customize until your arms give out, and then there is still more to do. There are also hundreds of levels to take Sackboy through in LittleBigPlanet and soon to release LittleBigPlanet 2.

How can you not like demi-god who runs around killing everything he sees until it's a puddle of blood. We have seen Kratos take down waves of enemies, great Greek gods, and the most powerful god of them all, Zeus. Kratos is easily the most gruesome hero the Playstation world has ever seen. If you have not played the God of War games, they are highly recommended. The first two, originally only on PS2, have been remade on the PS3, and the third is of course on the PS3 as well.

1. Solid Snake From the Metal Gear Solid Franchise
Coming in as the most incredible hero of the Playstation world is Solid Snake. Solid Snake has appeared in more than 6 Metal Gear games, and there are still more to come. Solid Snake originally appeared on a computer game in 1987 called Metal Gear. The Metal Gear franchise has featured some of our favorite characters and moments since Metal Gear Solid in 1998. Metal Gear Solid was the first game in the franchise to feature actual voice-overs for characters in the game. Solid Snake will always live on to be the most incredible hero of the Playstation world, and in the most incredible game series the industry has ever seen.
