Is Playstation Plus Worth It?

Playstation Plus launched about a month ago and there has been a lot of talk of its price tag.  For a year (and a limited bonus three months) it's $49.99 USD.  For 3 months it's $17.99 USD.

So, What's Playstation Plus?

Playstation Plus is a Playstation Store subscription.  It gives you limited content available for just the subscribers.  We have already seen discounts on popular games, add-ons, themes, and avatars.  Not only is some of the content 50% off, but some of it is FREE.  Free content includes

various themes, avatars, demos, games, and Sony's interactive news videos: Qore.  All of this for one fee at the beginning of the subscription.  Just go to the Playstation Store and click the Playstation Plus icon to buy.

Is Playstation Plus Worth It?

The worth of Playstation Plus depends on the individual.  If you are one to buy over $50 of content from the Playstation Store a year (at least) then this would probably help you save some money as you use the store a lot.  However, if you don't use the store enough to save more than $50, then you might as well not waste your money.

I recommend Playstation Plus.  It's a good tool to help save money as long as you can earn the money back.
